Who we are

Penn-York Camp and Retreat Center is located in the beautiful north-central Pennsylvania Wilds just outside of Ulysses, PA.

Penn-York offers quiet surroundings and modern facilities for retreats and summer camps.

In addition to our modern facilities, Penn-York Camp offers 150 acres of recreation options, including an excellent Challenge Course Program. For more information on lodging and recreation, see our "Facilities" and "Challenge Course" tabs.

For over 40 years the Penn-York Camp Association (PYC) has provided a Natural Place to encounter Christ.

PYC began with a committed core of founders who had a dream to provide Christian camping to the youth in our area. Over the years through hard work, determination, and many miracles, the Lord has blessed us with amazing facilities. Now our outreach has expanded to include summer camps for kids and teens, group retreats, challenge course programming, outdoor adventure programming, and many special events for all ages. Our goal is to be an asset and support to the churches and communities of Pennsylvania and New York as we work together to develop dedicated followers of Jesus Christ.

The mission of Penn-York Camp is to develop dedicated followers of

Jesus Christ by building spirit, mind, and body, in a natural setting.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe in the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
  • The Triune God- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • God the Father, maker of heaven and earth.
  • The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His substitutionary atonement for sin, visible return to earth to reign in righteousness and glory.
  • The person of the Holy Spirit, and His work of conviction, regeneration, and sanctification, who indwells every believer, equipping them with gifts for service and witness.
  • The necessity of new birth, in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone and importance of a life fully committed to the will of God in Christ.
  • The church as the one universal body of Christ who is the Head, called to be God’s redeemed people.
  • We believe humanity was created in the image of God as male and female and that human sexuality properly reflects that image only in the covenant of marriage, for a lifetime, between one man and one woman.
  • We believe in the inestimable worth and significance of all human life, in all its dimensions, from conception to natural death.
