Are you considering the possibility of applying for a CIT position at PYC? Working at PYC as a CIT is an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience, but if you are not prepared, it can be a huge shock to move from camper to CIT.
The CIT Training is a series of devotions and activities over the course of a day that are designed to help prepare you spiritually for the position of Counselor In Training. This training is free and in no way obligates you to apply, so whether you have already been hired, are considering returning, or are just curious, we would love to have you join us.
Rescheduled for May 2 due to COVID 19. If you were previously signed up, please contact the office to confirm that you will still be coming.
Where: Penn-York Camp - Fellowship Hall
When: May 2 - Beginning at 9 a.m. thru 6 p.m.
Meals: Lunch and Supper are provided
Ages: Recommended for ages 14-18
Registration: This training is free, but advance reservations are required before February 1. To reserve your spot, please contact the office at 814-848-9811 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Counseling Staff: Previous CIT's who hope to be counselors this year may also benefit from this training.
Please feel free to contact us for more info.
Please note that this training does not obligate Penn-York Camp to hire you for any summer position. Those who attend this training must still go through the same application, reference, and interview process as any other staff member. Also note that this training is not a requirement for being hired as a CIT. Rather it is designed to encourage and help you prepare for the job of CIT.
